IMPORTANT FIRE SAFETY INFORMATION

Lithium batteries and E-bikes

4/1/24:  All residents owning e-bikes, please note:

Many local HOA communities are prohibiting e-bikes based on increasing reports of fires caused by improper care and storage of the bike's lithium battery. E-bike batteries are of particular concern for attached housing communities as they can spark hard-to-extinguish fires due to lack of proper care by the owner.  At BME, we will continue to allow e-bikes, unless or until we are advised by our insurance agent that we should not permit them.

Please review and adhere to all e-bike safety guidelines below.  Thank you for helping to keep BME safe!
